The safety and well being of employees and others affected by our work are matters of primary importance.
Structural Surveys Direct management will ensure that a safe and healthy work environment is created for all Structural Surveys Direct employees and will continuously work to improve work practices and conditions.
Structural Surveys Direct commits to the following standards of health and safety practice:
(a) Structural Surveys Direct will comply with all relevant health and safety legislation/standards and to ensure that all employees use safe work practices in all operations.
(b) Employees will be consulted and encouraged to participate in health and safety management.
(c) Employees will be provided with training to ensure they can carry out their work in a safe manner.
(d) Employees will be provided with all necessary safety clothing and related equipment.
(e) Structural Surveys Direct supports the safe and early return to work of injured employees and a programme for the rehabilitation of any injured employee will be developed in consultation with that employee where appropriate.
(f) Project planning will consider the safety requirements of the project and will ensure appropriate steps are taken to carry out the work in a safe manner.
(g) Structural Surveys Direct health and safety performance and that of each Business group will be continually monitored and evaluated by Business Managers.
(h) Health and safety objectives shall be set annually.
(i) Structural Surveys Direct health and safety policy and measurement of performance against the objectives shall be reviewed annually.
(j) Employees will work with clients to consider and control safety risks on projects.
(k) Employees engaging or using suppliers of services or contractors will ensure that they use health and safety practices that will ensure that they meet the requirements of health and safety legislation.
(l) Structural Surveys Direct will ensure that all health and safety matters including workplace incidents and injuries are accurately reported and recorded.
